It has been an exciting week for the biocontrol crew, where we released our first five boxes of cut cats claw creeper vine loaded with Leaf tying moth caterpillars. It has taken 3 ½ years to reach this stage, producing well over 3000 moths with only having two caterpillars to start this new project.
It was my pleasure to finally speak to Lyn Browne who founded the Biological control facility in Gympie some twenty years ago. A sign was erected at Gympie Landcare, in honor of Lyn’s hard work and successful achievement in getting Councils support in biocontrol insects.
