Clean Up Australia Day is celebrating its 30th birthday in 2020!
Over the years, an incredible 17.7 million Australians have helped remove 365,000 ute loads of rubbish across Australia.
By getting out on the day, you bring about lasting change to the community and help improve attitudes toward littler nationwide!
Council are hoping for the biggest Clean Up day yet and in support of this wonderful idea, Gympie Landcare will be holding a Clean Up Australia Day event at A J Mitchell Park on Sunday 1 March 2020 from 8am-12pm.
Council will generously be providing Gympie Landcare with litter collection bags, refreshments and sausages for our BBQ!
Registration: If you’d like to come along, please ensure to RSVP with us by Thursday 27 February 2020 to ensure we cater for everyone!
What to bring: It is recommended that volunteers bring a wide-brim hat, sunscreen, closed footwear and thick gloves.
