Gympie Landcare members enjoyed the birthday morning with Gympie councillors Dan Stewart and Hilary Smerdon, staff and the management committee. The celebration kicked off with Graeme Elphinstone taking us through a history of important projects that Gympie Landcare has been involved in over the years followed by a quick run through of what was achieved this year and plans for 2019.
It was then time to cut the cake and share a cuppa and some memories. Ernie Rider (president) and Gympie mayor, Mick Curran did the honours with the cake.
Gympie Landcare has a rich 30-year history of land care in the region and as the Mayor said he is looking forward to Landcare celebrating its 40th birthday
