Have you ever wanted to start up your own beehive? Then this workshop is for you!
This introductory level workshop, hosted by the Valley Bees Association, will teach you everything that you need to know about bee keeping and pollination methods that have been tried and tested over the years.
The session will consist of a short informative talk followed by a look at all the necessary materials required to handle bees. Finally we will show you a real life established hive so that you can see a demonstration of a working hive.
What you need to bring:
Please wear/bring sun-protective clothing including a hat and enclosed shoes. Please also bring along a water bottle.
What’s included:
A light morning tea will be included with this workshop.
