Telstra Kids helps kids thrive in their connected world and we are delighted to announce our success in applying for a $1,200 grant from Telstra.
Our Telstra Kids grant will be used to provide sustainable education to children in the Gympie region.
Our initial youth project will consist of creating a community “food garden” here at our Gympie Landcare office. The aim is for local children to create this garden, all the while learning about soil health, plant productivity and other topics related to growing and maintaining a healthy garden.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Haemish Coutts (Local Area Manager) and Paul Atkinson (Manager – Gympie Central Telstra Store) for nominating our project to receive this funding.
We are very excited to share in the million dollars that the Telstra Foundation provides each year to help local children’s initiatives.
